Well, well. Interesting meeting tonight. I call a special business meeting to conclude the LEMS business meeting of 2/6/03 and a minimal amount of the business in that meeting gets conducted. The "members of LEMS" voted to transfer all assets, liabilities etc etc. (The stuff those other people wanted us to get out of the station) to Lumberton Fire/Rescue effective April 1 or so. So much for the committee I set up to investigate whether or not that was a good idea or not. Now don't get me wrong, this is most likely the direction that we were going to be going anyway. But I'm a little disappointed in the way it happend.

Well I'm famous. Last night the EMS had a brief meeting to appoint a committee to formulate a plan to try and continue providing service for Lumberton. After the meeting Channel 6 KFDM News interviewed me and led the 10:00 news with a quote from me. No solutions to our problems yet. Hopefully we can get some of our problems worked out at our business meeting Thursday night. I was also interviewed by Philip Klein yesterday morning. He has posted a news article on his websitewww.setpoliticalreview.com. There's a good bit of inaccuracies in his article, but then again I don't feel like the real story is getting out anywhere.
