Well this evening I went to the Logoncafe to hear The Kaiser Brothers of Honkytonk Jones. I didn't get a chance to see Honkytonk Jones last Saturday because I was on call with Lumberton EMS where I volunteer as a Paramedic. As it turns out, I was a little bit disappointed because I was probably expecting a little more of the Honkytonk Jones type of show. This was mostly just a recording session for them as best as I could tell. I like a couple of their songs, and really like "Looking at Cows" but most of the songs were a little too mellow for what I wanted to hear tonight. I'm on their mailing list so maybe I'll get another chance to hear the whole group someday soon too.
Tonight I also learned of the passing of Mary Richard, a paramedic who volunteers with Sour Lake EMS. It is with much sorrow that I learned of her passing for several reasons. She has been a long time devoted voluteer with Sour Lake EMS and I have had the pleasure of working with her both at the hospital and on scenes while working for Med-Link. She will be greatly missed...
